This page describes how the Collab Creator AI Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles data. It supplements our main Privacy Policy, which also applies to your account and the web app.
For privacy enquiries contact admin@collab-creator.co.uk.
1. What the extension does
The Extension shows niche trend insights and AI title suggestions while you browse YouTube and Instagram. It connects to your existing Collab Creator AI account and calls our API to fetch data personalized to your creator profile.
2. Data the extension collects
Account linking (with your consent)
- When you click Connect account, you sign in on https://app.collab-creator.co.uk and the Extension stores an authentication token, your user ID, and API base URL in
chrome.storage.localon your device. - The Extension uses this token to call our API as you. It does not store your password.
Page context (YouTube only, when you open the panel)
- Public metadata visible on the page you are viewing — e.g. video URL, title — to check trend match and request AI optimization suggestions.
- We do not read private YouTube Studio data, direct messages, or content outside the page you are viewing.
The Extension shows trend data from our servers. It does not access Instagram's private APIs or post on your behalf.
3. How we use extension data
- Display your niche trends, traction metrics, and AI suggestions
- Keep you signed in to the Extension until you sign out or uninstall
- Improve the Service using aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns
We do not sell extension data or use it for advertising profiles.
4. Where data is sent
- Collab Creator API (
api.collab-creator.co.uk) — trends, profile, optimization requests - Collab Creator web app (
app.collab-creator.co.uk) — account connection page only, when you choose to link your account
Server-side processing is covered in our main Privacy Policy (processors, retention, international transfers, your rights).
